Roles Available

Please note that ages are a guide only

Dr. Roy Flemming: A polished, urbane New York psychiatrist. Forties. Highly civilized, pragmatic, at all times gives the impression of a cold functioning intelligence.

Claire Flemming: A brittle, sardonic product of New York’s East Side. She is in her early forties and shows the strain of a loveless marriage. Her clothes are ultra chic and in one scene she wears a negligee.

Susan Hudson: Young and extremely attractive actress with a hint of latent sensuality. She is not particularly complicated, but as the play progresses, shows the burden of increasing tension.

Lieutenant Columbo: A rumpled police official of indeterminate age. He seems to be bumbling and vague, with an overly apologetic, almost deferential manner. This masks an innate shrewdness, and a foxy knowledge of human nature.

Dave Gordon: A smooth, boyish lawyer with his eye on a political future.

Miss Petrie: A Pleasant, efficient woman in her fifties with a genuine liking for people. Secretary to Dr. Flemming.

Delivery Boy: Early Twenties.

Requirements

Please prepare, and bring a copy of, a contemporary piece / monologue of approximately 2 -3 minutes in duration. Try to find something which reflects the personality of the character you are auditioning for.

American Accents preferred.

A copy of your current CV and a recent photo/headshot (if available)

The audition will also involve a cold read from the script.

Please Allow up to 2 hours for your audition.

(Please note: if you are successful in gaining a role in this production, you will be required to become a member of New Farm Nash Theatre)
