Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs

Written by Quentin Tarantino
Directed by Dan James & Christopher Doolan

Reservoir Dogs exploded onto the screen in 1992. Many audience members, unprepared for the shock, walked out. Those that stayed were left reeling. Quentin Tarantino had arrived and would go on to inspire a generation of filmmakers.
Today audiences are more accustomed to violence. Not only physical violence, but psychological - violence against race, against gender, against sexuality and so on. Today it is all too easy to remain unaffected.

In this production of Reservoir Dogs we made the decision to do something different - tell the story with an all female cast. It does not change the fact that this is a very male story, indeed it amplifies it. By seeing women saying the dialogue and performing the violence we are reminded just how shocking, funny, horrifying and male Reservoir Dogs really is.
